Former UFC Champion Daniel Cormier Suggests Welterweights Considering Move to Challenge Middleweight Champ Sean Strickland

Can Sean Strickland be considered a relatively easier fight against opponents than Adesanya and Pereira?

Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman aim to represent themselves in the middleweight category quickly because Cormier believes Gorge is an easy target to defeat.

Canim Cormier says on a social media platform that Kamaru Usman has refused to finalise the deal with Alex for the 185-pound match. Another example we see is Sean becoming the champ here now and Liam already talking about going to 185. What is that? I'm sure they are only waiting for me to win as they feel that no matter how big the task is, I can be it. What is the reason due to which Sean Strickland is being given less importance according to you?

Edwards and Strickland are expected to fight in the upcoming UFC event, Unfortunately we don't have enough details about this yet. However, Usman is still having thoughts of returning back to middleweight because he fell short against Khamzat Chimaev.

Strickland's outlook does not only extend in the 170-pound weight class.

According to Cormier, The guys who are at 170 pounds are feeling that "Sean Strickland is beatable" As per my conversation with his close circle; they believe that Du Plessis will have to push recklessly through Strickland. They believe that Shaun Strickland is very behind him so it's not going to be a competetive match. I'm not sure how you could possibly think that way after watching the fight until its end.

Strickland has planned to display for the very first against a South African heavyweight Dricus Du Plessis, on 20th January at UFC Fairy 297.
