Chael Sonnen Criticizes UFC 300 Matchmaking for Bo Nickal’s Fight Against Cody Brundage

As the 2023 timetable has been determined, plans are being made for the upcoming year. The level of anxiety and stress is expected to be higher from the last few years, as there are few activities planned in the first half.

UFC is planning a promotion in the month of April to launch their historic UFC 300. The fans are expecting a huge lineup due to the number of participants and celebration related vibrancy.

CEO Dana White has announced the three matchups for the first time after a long time of teasing. The name Bo Nickal is among the list of names to feature in the event.

The MMA fighter who specialized as a wrestler has performed 5 fights since he started MMA fighting style. He also won his debut fights with UFC banner in 2023. In 2024, Nickal's first assignment will be against Cody Brundage inside the Octagon.

According to the DraftKings' betting odds, Nickal has a significant lead with -1450 odds. This opponent facing the fighter in his comeback fight, (Who must have been handpicked), constituted a considerable downgrade to the level of skill and ability he really possessed.

Sonnen On Nickal's UFC 300 Fight: 'Why Are We Doing This?'

Chael Sonnen, who is former UFC star posted a reaction video on his youtube account for Jake Nickals's next fight which has been confirmed recently.

Sonnen had blame upon Nickal, in the last Octobers UFC for not timely triggering chance against Khamzat Chimaev. Seeing how the unbeatable big character is competing against a weak competitor has left him in confusion.

Sonnen mentioned that the fight between Cody and Nickal, which is going to take place at UFC 300, is a remarkable one since everyone has become too excited about it. I am trying to find it, in Bo's last favoritism contest he favored with 24/1 odds. This time Conor will be the biggest favorite on the main card.

Even if you let Khabib fight a new and weak guy, it would be hard to see that he is losing an issue. "Why are we doing this? This fight should not be carried out at any cost. I'm just trying to understand. Is this a numbers situation? Is it a requirement to have a certain amount of fights before Bo will be considered for the title fight? Is Bo supposed to finish a few fights before he goes against the top 5 contenders? What amount of squashing matches can we make before he goes into a rankings match? On his debut day, Brock took the win against Frank Mir who had already won world championship twice. In response, we may have to revise our decision of how come it is not possible if he is not placed on the main card and why would be do a squash match?

He seems willing to take his time to climb the ranks and not want it to be quick, which shows his confidence in himself. For this year, he planned to have a total of four fights before the main title challenge.

On the 13th of April, plans are set to meet Brundage for the first time. However, the American is certain to make a place in the top 15 after this victory. This could lead to higher profile matches and much more later by the end of this year.
