Manny Pacquiao wants to ride the new wave of boxing and chooses legendary fighter as opponent

Manny A.  Pacquiao is burning for triumph in the ring. By 45 years old and already having three years away from his last professional fight, the Filipino great, he is again willing to step into that squared circle to face his next opponent to write another chapter of his legacy.

Several candidates have been predicted as possible opponent of his in the next fight from the Conor Benn lately. Its all the fight is going on, but Benn settling  his suspension appeal will ruin that objective.

Among other professional aspirations, Manny Pacquiao being mentioned is Conor McGregor bout.

Well, the clash between Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor still holds its ground.  Now that Benn is no longer in the picture, Manny shifts his attention to Conor. Sean Gibbons, one of the counselors to Pacquiao, lately disclosed on how Pacquiao can be active in the field.

It was always really a great dream for him and Conor McGregor, but Conor's got so much UFC business or whatever. Manny's got about nine months left because he's going to run for office again, so he's still actively looking for something... They said [Benn] comes off suspension in September, there's still an opportunity to do that. Conor Benn was the ideal fight because it would have been competitive.

Gibbons doesn't rule out a Benn fight very late in the year but of which the situation is left behind in the eyes of Pacquiao and his team. While the Gibbons voice sounded a non-committal on such fight materializing, he didn't completely rule out that possibility.

Forcoming challenge yet the nine months timeline creates a chance for McGregor to prove himself. In 14 days from now, on June 29, McGregor will fight Chandler in a UFC qualifying contest. The thing is that, at the moment, no other fights seem to be available for Pacquaio.
