Conor McGregor to make long-awaited UFC return against Michael Chandler on June 29th

Conor McGregor has shown when and where he will return to UFC. But, not all people are happy with how his booking was set up.

On Sunday, December 31st McGregor made a video showing that he will fight Michael Chandler on June 29th. The UFC pay-per-view event may not have a final number yet, but it will happen during the large International Fight Week celebrations in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's nice to finally have Conor booked after six months of constant rumors. Some people are sad he won't be in the big fight at UFC 300. People expect a lot from that big card, and fans are finding it hard to think what UFC planners can do. They want something big like "Notorious" but not there in the plan.

Then, there's all the foolishness about McGregor vs. Chandler going down at middleweight. Is McGregor being serious? Is this all just a joke? Mind games aimed at Chandler? It's difficult to know about McGregor. He has already competed in featherweight, lightweight and welterweight divisions. He's been discussing a title run at 170. Would he really ruin those efforts just to take a cheap shot at Chandler?

Probably.

See what fighters and fans have said about McGregor's big announcement of coming back, and how there is no Mac in UFC 300.
