WWE Made Major Changes to Final 2023 Live Event to Thank the Superstars

WWE did things differently with their last live event in 2023, but these changes were liked by the superstars at the show.

On December 30, the WWE live show happened at the KIA Forum in Inglewood, California. The show was the final event on WWE's big Holiday Tour. The event was the second fight for CM Punk since he came back to WWE at Survivor Series. The Best in the World won against Dominik Mysterio, who he also defeated on December 26 at MSG event.

WWE Updates Live Show Plans:

This show being WWE's last in 2023, the company wanted to make things simpler for Superstars going places on New Year. The PW Insider says that the event was set up to finish and send talent off as quickly as possible so they could go straight to LAX for their late-night flights. This is probably something that wasn't often done for anyone except the biggest Superstars in the past when McMahon was in charge.

This work to bring talent forward as soon as possible created a steel cage match and a World Heavyweight Championship fight early on. The shows were messy compared to normal WWE events. This was all set up to thank the talented people for their week of hard work on tour and get them home as fast as possible. One wrestler made a joke that the scene backstage was like Home Alone 2 because everybody seemed to be running and trying get on their airplanes.
